Movie Genres Inspire.....

I would get frowned upon because of the types of movies that I like. I like drama, suspense and adventure movies. I love a lot of the seventies and eighties classics like Grease, Ghost, A League of their Own, Die Hard, A Christmas Story, Scarface, and Ferris Bueller’s Day Off just to name a few. My peers are into heavy action, horror, and paranoia. That’s not my taste at all. I am well please with the genres of my interest and my interest alone without the opinion of other. I embrace with confidence the genres that stand out like a sore thumb, that are unusual, and that would normally send up a red flag to others of the normal genres or the most popular genres.  I must be honest; I’m not interested in those bloody movies filled with screaming people and guts flying everywhere. I like movies that inspire people to be better, that inspire people to do this better in life, movies that give people a since of purpose, or that suggest that everyone is important or can contribute to the big world in some way.

I like movies that can make me cry and movies that can make me laugh. When I sit down to watch a movie, I am excited about the experience or the lessons that the will bring to my life. These are the movies that inspire and bring hope to people. I also enjoy documentary and autobiography films about hardships and improvements, struggle and strength, defeat and victory. These movies leave lasting impressions in a special place in your heart that a person is able to pull from when in need of some type of inspiration. I really enjoy the movies that have come out by the writer and producer Tyler Perry. I really enjoy his movies because of the messages that they leave in your heart, the lessons that they allow the audience to learn, the emotions that the movie allows the audience to feel, and the inspirations that the movies allow you to embrace. These movies by this young man give people hope, and at the  end he always has a segment where he shares with the audience some of his personal struggles, and then shares how he was able to overcome the obstacles that he faces, and the great aspect about these segments are that most of the issues or struggles that he addresses to the audience are situations and struggles that we as normal people go through each and every day, so its nice to know that a famous person had some of the same struggles as myself. Now I can tell myself that if he could overcome and make it and he is now famous, then I can make it or overcome my situation as well. This makes the movies more relatable and then in turn inspires.
